Fortunately, traffic on the road was light at the time of the incident, preventing what could have been a serious accident.
Local residents rushed to the spot immediately after the crash and helped move the pilot to safety. Police and officials from the concerned department also reached the scene soon after receiving information about the incident.
Preliminary reports indicate that the pilot sustained only minor injuries and is said to be out of danger. Traffic in the area was briefly disrupted before being restored to normal.
Officials suspect that the emergency landing may have been caused by sudden changes in weather conditions or strong winds. An investigation has been initiated to determine the exact cause of the incident and whether all mandatory safety protocols were followed before take-off.
The Kullu-Manali region has witnessed several emergency paragliding landings in recent months due to unpredictable weather conditions, prompting renewed concerns over adventure tourism safety.
