- Punjab limits gathering for Republic Day functions amid spike in COVID cases

  Chandigarh, January 20, 2022:
  
  The Punjab government issued a new order regarding restrictions on Republic Day functions in the state. As per the order, a gathering of maximum of 100 persons will be allowed in each Republic Day functions on Jan 26 due to a spike in COVID cases.
  
  In addition to this, the students and 'jhankis' will not participate in these functions. However, other cultural activities and parades will be performed like every year.
