Chandigarh reports 441 new COVID cases and 3 deaths

Chandigarh, January 30, 2022:
Chandigarh reported 441 new COVID-19 positive cases on Sunday. Three deaths due to COVID were also reported in the last 24 hours.
As per the information released by the health department, UT Chandigarh, the total number of active cases in Chandigarh stands at 3452.
In the last 24 hours, the department has tested 4713 samples. As per the figure, 1118 deaths have been reported in Chandigarh due to COVID-19 to date.
Likewise, the total number of patients who have tested positive to date stands at 89144.

Discharged Patients:-
Today 805 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 7 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
COVID Deaths:-
- A 92 years old COVID positive male resident of sector 21, a case of Hypertension, Heart Disease and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome expired at GMSH sector 16. He was fully vaccinated for COVID.
- An 88 year old COVID positive male resident of Sector 35 expired at SGHS Hospital, Sohana. He was a case of Hypertension and Lung disease. He was fully vaccinated for COVID.
- A 76 years old COVID positive male resident of Daria, a case of Leukemia, Myocardial Infarction and Cerebrovascular accident expired at Amcare Hospital, Zirakpur, Punjab. He was fully vaccinated for COVID.
