25 Fixed Covid Vaccination Sites opened in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, January 29, 2022: To speed up the Covid vaccination in the district ahead of Assembly polls, as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, as many as 25 Fixed Covid Vaccination Sites have been opened in the district, to facilitate the people at their door-steps.
Meanwhile, SDM Om Parkash along with Secretary Red Cross Ashok Behal visited the vaccination camps and appealed to the people to come forward for vaccination to control the gradual increase in the positive cases besides following the Covid protocols to break the chain of further transmission of Coronavirus. He said the efforts are being made that everyone is fully vaccinated at the earliest in view of coming Assembly elections.
He also visited the Vaccination centers at Skill Centre, Civil Hospital, Sheetla Mata Mandi and he also talked with the members and asked them to contact the people for vaccination.
127 Covid positive cases were reported on Saturday in the district with the recovery of 201 infected persons while the results of 360 samples were still awaited. The death tally of the district is 520.
The positive reported cases have been asked for home quarantine while the sampling has been started by tracing the persons in contact with Corona infected.
So far in the district, 3,52,673 samples were taken since the outbreak of the virus, out of which 3,35,076 were tested negative, 17,237 positive and 16,103 recovered. Presently, the active cases in the district are 627 – 421 under HW, 11 of L2, one with L3 and RRT reports of 196 were awaited.
On Saturday, 18,101 were given the first, second, and precaution dose to 60 plus including HCW, FLW, Lactating mother pregnant women taking the total cumulative vaccination of 9,33,937 doses in Ferozepur district.
